Inside Greenhouse: New Faces

The first time I walked into Greenhouse Fabrics I was a soon-to-be college graduate on an interview. I was anxious, nervous and timid, but all of these fears quickly disappeared.

Mike Bivins, the president of Greenhouse Fabrics, was the first person I met that day. Mike took the time out of his busy schedule to get to know me; he asked me about my day, how school was going and took a genuine interest in getting to know me as a person. I thought that maybe he was just having a good day, but as I walked around the office I quickly found out that every employee was just as passionate about getting to know me as Mike was.

My first day at work was a little…well let me be honest, it was very overwhelming. I don’t think I’ve ever heard phones ring as much as I did that first day. But what surprised me the most is how no one rushed through phone calls; instead, they took their time and talked to every customer as if they were talking to a close friend on the phone. During my second week of work I had the opportunity to meet James Cornetet, the owner of Greenhouse Fabrics. Just like Mike, James is full of passion and excitement. He greeted me with a high-five and asked me about myself. It was such a rewarding feeling that he was excited to get to know me and welcome me into the Greenhouse family. I’m not sure how many people can say that both the president and owner of their company knew them personally after just two weeks of working, but I can.

It has now been a month since I joined the Greenhouse family and I’m still learning something new every day. But regardless of whether I’m organizing the showroom or putting in orders, I have learned that everything that is done at Greenhouse Fabrics is done with each and every one of you in mind. We want to make you happy, and we are willing to go above and beyond what is expected of us to do so. And to me, that’s the most rewarding part of the job, knowing I can make your day better by providing you with the best customer service around!

I look forward to helping you soon!
